Work on the Design of Lot 3.1. of Struma Highway Continues
Work continues on implementing the contract to design and build Lot 3.1 of Struma Highway.
The contract was awarded by the Strategic Infrastructure Projects National Company to the Contractor, DZZD AM Struma 3.1. – a consortium of companies with Groma Hold Ltd. as the leading partner and Patishta Plovdiv AD, Hydrostroy AD, Patishta Plovdiv Group EOOD, AB AD and Alve Consult EOOD as partners.
The section between Blagoevgrad and Krupnik of Lot 3.1 of Struma Highway is approximately 13 kilometers long. The price of the Design and Build Contract for it comes to BGN 185 999 999.90 inclusive of VAT. Funding for it was provided by Operative Program Transport and Transport Infrastructure 2014 – 2020. The design foresees an А29 size road with two lanes.
The section will include 11 bridges with total length of approximately 850 meters, 3 overpasses (one railroad overpass), 3 underpasses for agricultural machinery and one traffic underpass. Also included in this lot are the Blagoevgrad South Junction, the Simitli Junction, and the Е79 Junction near Simitli.
The works related to the construction of Lot 3 of Struma Highway as a priority facility are financed with funds from Operative Program Transport and Transport Infrastructure 2014 – 2020. The Project is implemented as part of Priority Axis 2, Development of Road Infrastructure along the Main and the Extended Trans European Transport Network of Operative Program Transport and Transport Infrastructure 2014 – 2020 with finance from the Cohesion Fund.
